When you think of an animal that needs love you probably think of a dog or a cat (when the cat isn't busy plotting world domination that is). These photos will completely turn the notion of only common housepets needing love completely upside-down! Some of them wanted to be loved so bad that they come up to humans in the most unexpected ways. From cheetahs helping wildlife photographers to seals sneaking into your home, you won't be able to stop laughing once you see how these four-legged creatures got to know their human counterparts.
Everyday This Deer Visits His Kitten Friend For Cuddles
Sometimes, animals find comfort in the unlikeliest of friends. Take these two for example; every day the deer came to their yard, and the cat eventually warmed up to him. Now they have their morning cuddles before the deer returns to the forest.
If this doesn't melt your heart, we don't know what will! Maybe in a former life, these two were married, and they reunite daily to remember the life they once lived. Hopefully, that cat gets treated for ticks regularly.
"Hey, You Come Here Often?"
This raccoon must have smelt food because he came to hang out on the porch and made himself at home. Now he comes around looking for food whenever the grill is lit; he crawls up onto the ledge and waits to steal something from the scraps.
He looks like he is about to ask to borrow some money because he got himself into a sticky situation. He's like that sketchy cousin that only comes around when they need something once every few years.
Smile For The Camera!
We all have that one friend who is always taking selfies and this horse is one of them. It was ready to show off its smile for the camera, so she made the same face too. That is the most amazing selfie we have ever seen.
It's funny that the horse almost knew how to pose for a selfie. Maybe the horse is a social media influencer, and we didn't even know it. This should have won photo of the year because it is too perfect.
He Jumped Onto The Boat And Made Himself At Home
This little guy was swimming in the ocean, and he must have gotten tired because he hopped onto this family's boat. He then strolled into the cabin and made himself comfortable on the couch. It's like he owns the place now.
It's like they adopted a sea dog that they never knew they wanted. We wonder if they had to give him fish to lure him off the boat. Although they are cute and cuddly looking, we don't know how friendly sea lions are with people.
He Must Have Smelled The Brownies
"Hello, I saw that you were cooking something. Do you mind if I join you for a meal? I will open the door even if your answer is no." This big bear wandered onto this person's deck and started waving at them until they noticed he was standing there. He was trying to get into the house to see what they had to eat.
Can you imagine hearing something scratching at your door only to find a bear standing outside? That would give anyone a minor heart attack because they are known for entering people's homes without permission. Hopefully, he was polite and stayed outside.
"Have You Spotted Anything?"
This cheetah was hanging around the photographer to help him get the perfect shot. Unlike the human eye, the cheetah can see his fellow spotted friends blending into the surroundings, so he helps the photographer spot them.
Some people think these animals are always in attack mode, but look how calm it is sitting next to the man. It looks like a lazy cat lounging around someone's home only with sharper claws and larger teeth.
Fed 2 Ducks Yesterday On The Porch And Woke Up To This Today
When you feed two ducks, and the whole family shows up for food the next day. It's like those two birds returned to their friends, told them about the meal they had, and then invited them to join. This is why you can't feed the birds.
Ducks don't know how to keep a secret, so if you are going to feed one of them, prepare for a flock of them to show up the next day requesting your finest bread scraps. One of them must have posted a free food sign on this person's house.
How Did A Kangaroo Get In The House?!
It's pretty obvious that these people live in Australia, and they must be experienced with weird creatures getting inside their home. However, they never expected to find a young kangaroo hopping around their living room.
How did it get there, and how did they get it out without it punching them? We would rather find this guy than a spider or snake any day, which are normal occurrences in Australia. Luckily, it didn't break anything.
It's More Coordinated Than Most Humans
This squirrel must have seen people practicing the splits because he was trying to recreate them, and someone captured her adorable pose. It looks like she knew she was cute, so she put her hands up to her cheeks to emphasize that.
The pretty pink flowers only add to the beauty of this photo, and it is just missing some animated hearts and sparkles to be kawaii. It really makes you wonder if this was posed or not because it is almost too perfect to be real.
"Paint Me Like One Of Your French Girls"
When they turned on their porch lights, they found this raccoon lying outside their back door as if it were waiting for someone to pet its belly. However, no one wants to pet them because they have loads of diseases and eat garbage.
She must have been upset that they turned on the lights and disturbed her beauty sleep. It looks like she had babies or is pregnant and could use all the sleep in the world. She doesn't have enough energy to sort through the trash anymore.
"I Can't Believe You Just Said That!"
"So there I was, minding my own business when she comes over to me and slaps me across the face." "No way! How could she do that?" These two seals look like they are in the middle of spilling some piping hot tea.
It must have been some really good gossip for him to react like that. He was not prepared for this news, but it was so shocking to find out what was going on in his friend's life. If only we could speak seal.
Resting On The Bowl Of Ice To Cool Down From The Summer Heat
One woman in the neighborhood started putting out bowls of ice during the summer for the squirrels in her yard. This little guy was so grateful because it was sweltering outside, and he fell asleep while cooling off on top of one.
No one really thinks about how hot animals get during the summer because we are too preoccupied trying to cool ourselves down. We should all start putting out ice for the animals, but it might attract some unwanted friends.
He Came For A Sniff
While vacationing at a cabin in the mountains, these people encountered this nosey deer who came right up to them. She must have wanted a boop on the nose, and we hope the people smelled good for the deer's sake.
She must have terrible survival instincts if she thinks going up to humans in the mountains is a good idea. It's not a good idea to feed the wildlife, but how do you say no to her when she is standing that close with those puppy eyes?
Kisses For The Mrs.
These two were born in this person's yard a year before, and they still come to visit every few weeks because they must think it is their home. However, we don't know if they are from the same litter or not because of their different colors.
They seem to be very close, so they are either siblings or mates. Whatever their relationship is, they are so stinking adorable. They must be very comfortable with the people who live there because they keep coming back to the yard.
"Does This Peacock Make My Butt Look Big?"
Have you ever seen a rhinoceros wearing a tutu? If you haven't, this is the closest you might get. A peacock lined itself up perfectly with the rhino, and it looks like he is wearing a beautiful outfit. We couldn't have found a more perfectly timed picture.
The rhino must be getting ready to go to a dance class where it prances around with his friends. Sometimes he is a little self-conscious of his tutu in class, but we can all say that he looks amazing in it.
Pucker Up
While this photographer was trying to capture the wildlife, an animal decided to come to say hi and give kisses. It might have been trying to bite her, but at this angle, it looks like they are sharing an innocent kiss.
We don't know what kind of animal that is, but it has very sharp teeth, and we would not want it to be that close to our face. From far away, it seems sweet, and she is very trusting for letting it come up to her without flinching.
He Wanted To Join Them For Breakfast
While sitting outside for breakfast, this person looked down to see a quokka sitting by his feet and smiling up at him. He looked like he was waiting for his portion of the meal, but at least he greeted them with a polite and friendly smile.
Quokkas are always smiling, and they take over your heart with their sweet and innocent faces. This little guy looks like it would have a British accent if it started to speak to them. "Please, sir, can I have some crumbs?"
"Please, Sir, Can I Have Some More?"
Every morning, this grandma puts out one peanut for the squirrel. He knows to come to her door every day at the same time, and this was him lined up waiting for his food one morning.
Squirrels always seem to know where the freebies are. This is why people shouldn't feed them because they become too comfortable around humans, and they start to rely on that food source instead of their instincts.
Someone Found This Little Guy Waiting On His Doorstep
This baby raccoon must have lost its mother because it kept hanging out on this person's doorstep as if it were waiting for someone to help. Maybe the mother left it there like someone would leave a baby at a hospital or fire station.
The person who found it called a wild animal rehab center, and the raccoon was collected by people who will take care of it and prepare it for the wild. One day he will be sifting through this person's trash like every other raccoon in the neighborhood.
"I'm A Snake, A Slithery Little Snake"
Someone noticed a small white thing in the corner of their eye and looked out the window to see this tiny snake popping up to say hello. It was frightening for a moment before they realized it was probably harmless. He was just spying on them.
He looks like he wants to save you fifteen percent or more on your car insurance. We have never been a fan of snakes, but this one is surprisingly cute. We wonder if it grows up to be a killer snake with venom and fangs.
He Hitched A Ride On The Kayak
While kayaking through the ocean, this person picked up a hitchhiker of sorts. This sea lion must have thought the kayak was his Uber because he looks like he is about to say, "I'm so tired, man. Can you just drop me over on those rocks there?"
He was swimming in the waters off the coast of New Zealand and must have been swimming away from a hungry shark, which is why he is so tired. He deserves a break, and hopefully, he tipped the driver as a thank you.
Someone Found This Tiny Owl Sleeping In Their Truck
This man forgot to close the windows in his truck one night, and the next morning he came out to find this little owl sleeping inside. It looks angry that it was woken up from its beauty sleep. He must have been delivering a Hogwarts letter when he stopped to rest.
The bird must feel very relaxed with the man because he is being so gentle with those sharp talons. We would be terrified that it would sink its claws into our arm without any protection to stop it.
The Security Lights Went On To Reveal The Fox Stealing The Dog's Toy
One evening, these people saw their security lights turn on suddenly at one in the morning. When they went to see what triggered them, they found a baby fox stealing their dog's toys from the yard.
It looks like a little lost puppy, and we can't get over how adorable it is! It must have been frightening to see the security lights go on suddenly because they probably thought a person was trying to break in, but it was just this baby.
Bambi Can Never Seem To Find His Mom
Bambi came for a visit to this person's yard, and they had no idea where its mother was. The fawn looked much too young to be wandering around alone, and it must have gotten separated from the rest of its family.
He probably wants some food since he can't find his mom. It looks like it was just born based on its size, and we hope they called the animal rescue to get it some help since it shouldn't be alone yet.
The Toad Kept Coming To The House, So They Started Making It Hats
Every day the same toad kept coming to their porch, so they decided to start making him hats. Luckily, the toad didn't mind wearing his hats, and he was the fanciest toad in the neighborhood. This lovely pink feathered hat was perfect for blocking the sun.
It started as a modest act of kindness and turned into a toad fashion couture extravaganza. They had an impromptu fashion show and photoshoot to show off all the different hat styles, and the toad was working it for the camera.
This Little Fur Ball Needs Tiny Carrots For His Tiny Mouth
This itty-bitty bunny was so small that they had to give it carrots that were cut up into tiny pieces so that they wouldn't be too big for its mouth. It had been hanging around this person's office park, and they couldn't help but feed it because it was all alone.
We don't know if this is a dwarf bunny or a baby, but it seemed like it was looking for some help. Maybe it was scared that it would get swooped up by a large bird or couldn't find its way out of the tall grass.
They Thought Someone Was Ding-Dong-Ditching Their Home Until They Found Him
When their doorbell kept ringing, they assumed the neighborhood children were ding-dong-ditching their home repeatedly. It was irritating to keep running back and forth to the door until they noticed this little lizard chilling on the doorbell.
He's a natural prankster and laughed when they finally realized he was ringing the doorbell the whole time. He probably wanted to sell them car insurance, which is why he was so persistent with the doorbell.
They Came Down Stairs To See This Little Guy Hanging Out
Imagine walking downstairs with the intention of relaxing on the porch only to find this raccoon chilling in your favorite chair. He was making himself right at home without a care in the world. It's like he is waiting for someone to bring him a glass of lemonade.
Sure, just make yourself at home. No one wanted to sit there anyway. How do you get rid of it when it already made itself comfortable. Maybe he was there for an intervention because he saw a few too many pizza boxes in the garbage the past few weeks.
They Hopped In While The Person Was Putting Their Groceries Away
While bringing the groceries into the house, this person left their car door open because their hands were full. When they came back to close the door, they found these two fawns making themselves comfortable.
They must be really good at hide-and-seek because no one would think to look for them inside a car. Although they are so adorable, how do you even try to get them out of the car? Their mom will probably come to hurt you if you touch them.
He Was Knocking At The Window To Get Their Attention
This owl must have wanted something he saw inside because he kept knocking on the window until someone finally noticed him. He was probably trying to deliver their mail, but he didn't know how to get in their house since they don't have a chimney or mail slot.
It must have been an important letter from Professor Dumbledore because he was persistent to get someone's attention. How long do you think he sat there before someone finally noticed him?
He Rescued The Squirrel And Released It But He Still Comes Back For Visits
After nursing Hercules for four weeks, this guy released him back into the wild. However, Hercules wasn't ready to be a fully wild squirrel yet and kept coming back for daily visits and cuddles. He must have missed the free food.
It looks like they are making the same face for the camera. They must have connected a lot in those four weeks, and it's hard for the squirrel to leave his human friend behind so easily.
Does He Want A Friend Or Is He Just Hungry?
This grumpy-looking fox was waiting at the bottom of the stairs when the person walked out of their home, and they didn't know if he was waiting for food or wanted to come inside. He looks unimpressed with the human as if his hand wasn't a good enough offer.
The problem is that a wild fox can do some serious damage to a home like any other wild animal. They might look like dogs, but they are still animals and should be left outside. It's probably better to throw it some food and let it run free.
"This Is My House Now!"
This is one owl you do not want to mess with. He said, "This is my house now, so beat it. If you want me to leave, you are going to get a taste of these talons." Based on that pose, we would be running in the opposite direction.
If this isn't how they intimidate humans, is this how they attract a mate? Maybe the bird is hitting on the human in hopes of procreating. It's probably best to back away slowly without making any sudden movements, so it doesn't fly at them suddenly.
It's Like A Tiny Dragon In His Hand
Someone call the mother of dragons because we think she lost one of her babies. We have no idea what kind of lizard or creature this is, but it doesn't look like something that lives on planet earth.
This little guy was looking for some shade when the person found him, and we don't know why they thought to pick it up and put it in direct sunlight. Apparently, these lizards can squirt blood from their eyes when they feel threatened, and if that isn't terrifying, we don't know what is.
He Got In Through The Chimney And Found A Warm Spot To Hangout
In the early hours of the morning, these people came downstairs because they heard something in their living room. The owl fell down the chimney and started flying around their house because it was looking for a way out. It then landed on the lamp and scared the people.
It looks like it was just trying to find a warm place to sleep and the lamp was sufficient enough. Maybe this is how Santa disguises himself when people wake up and come downstairs while he is delivering presents.
"I Have To Get The Perfect Shot"
"Just pan a little more to the left, Barry...No my left." He is busy doing some kowality filming and loves being part of the action news team. He was not their first choice for a cameraman, but he was the best they could get on such short notice.
He is always at the scene, ready to film the action. It's almost as if he lives in the wild and can be anywhere they need him. They pay him in eucalyptus plants because actually money is useless to him.
He Must Be Looking For Pumbaa
As if the lens itself weren't heavy enough, this meerkat decided to get on top of the photographer's camera so he could get a better view of the land. He must have been looking for Pumbaa because he couldn't find him walking through the tall grass.
It must be hard being that small, but he seems to have it all figured out. He finds ways to feel taller, and the cameraman doesn't seem to mind the extra company. It is a beautiful sight to see the animals become so comfortable around humans.
He Found His Water Twin!
This elephant must have been so excited because he finally found his water spirit. The photographer captured the photo at just the right moment because the water made the elephant's shape at the perfect moment.
These people probably never realized that the water looked like the elephant because they were too distracted by the massive animal standing right in front of them. It must be amazing to be that close to such a magnificent animal.
He Ate Himself To Sleep
After putting a bird feeder on their deck, this squirrel thought it was an all-you-can-eat buffet and ate himself into a food coma. They should have realized how easy it would be for a squirrel to access the feeder when they put it there.
This squirrel is like all of us after the big Thanksgiving meal. In his defense, they were basically asking for squirrels to come to steal the food because they didn't even try to put the feeder out of the animal's reach.
"Hey, Do You Guys Have Any Flour I Can Borrow?"
This baby raccoon was peaking through his neighbor's fence because he was waiting to ask if they had a cup of flour he could borrow to bake cupcakes. The neighbors couldn't resist his face and the cute expression, so they had to find something to give him.
Did it take anyone else a few minutes to realize that there was another raccoon there? We guess his sister wanted to get in on the action, but she looks more interested in getting through the fence to hang out with the people on the other side.
Just One Of The Dogs
Nothing to see here, just two dogs and a cat chilling on the porch. Can you imagine leaving your animals outside only to come back and find a deer is occupying one of their beds? What happened to the other pet that the bed belongs to, or is the deer their third pet.
The dog and cat are so unphased by the deer as if this is an everyday occurrence for them. Our dog would be going wild if she was that close to a deer. It must be too tired to care about the massive animal sitting next to them.
Just Popping In For A Visit
These people live by the beach, and when they came home one day, they found this seal waiting by their door. He must have wandered up from the beach to stop by for a visit. He must have seen an orca and was too scared to stay by the water.
It looks skinny for a baby seal, so it must have lost its mother, who gives it food. He was probably hoping the people would have some extra fish to feed it. He must have gotten confused by the fish on their doormat and thought they left food for him.
He Comes For The Bread And Stays For The Company
"Polly, want a cracker?" This bird stops by their condo every day because he enjoys the bread and bananas the people give him. We can only imagine how angry he would be if they stopped giving him treats. What is he going to do when they leave their vacation home?
It's like birds have a master list in their minds of the best places to mooch because they always remember where people left them food. It almost looks like this is someone's pet that escaped their home because quaker parrots aren't native to Florida.
He Fell Asleep In The Chicken Coup And Didn't Hurt Any Of Them
While foxes are known for killing chickens, this little guy snuck into the chicken pen looking for warmth and spent the night there without hurting anyone. He just didn't want to spend the night alone in the cold, so he found the warmest place in the area.
His eyes are so innocent as if to say, "Please, can I stay here?" Someone should sell this plotline to Disney because it would make a great animated movie about the most unlikely friends. His mother is probably worried about her baby, and it won't be pretty when she finds the chickens.
Have You Ever Seen Something More Precious?
When this person was leaving for work, they happened to spot this baby chipmunk in the grass all alone. It doesn't look like it is more than a few weeks old, and it probably needs its mother to survive. Hopefully, they found the mom.
If they raised it, the chipmunk would probably think the human is its mother. If that were the case, would the chipmunk act like a human, or would it still act like a chipmunk? That is an age-old question we may never get the answer to.
